About Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships provide work-based learning for young people. You do a job and get paid while you get qualifications.

More than a quarter of a million young people are doing Apprenticeships in England, and more than half the people doing Apprenticeships are women.

Apprenticeships cover all areas of employment from engineering to social care and IT.

Now people from 14 upwards have the chance to do an Apprenticeship.

Where you start will depend on your situation.
