How do NVQs work?

You will be guided by an assessor.

The assessor will help you to:

Work out what you can already do

Agree what you’re aiming for

Sort out what you need to learn

Agree the best way to learn these skills

Decide on courses, work placements and strategies to help you learn them

The assessor will watch you at work and also ask you questions about your work.

The assessor will sign off each unit when you can prove you have mastered the knowledge and skills.
